NCS Technologies Launches New Zero Client Endpoints and a Scalable, End-to-End VDI Solution at VMworld 2015

Gainesville, VA, USA, August 27, 2015 - NCS Technologies, Inc. (www.ncst.com) today announced new zero client end points and a turnkey, end-to-end virtual desktop infrastructure solution for enterprise and government customers. This comprehensive portfolio of virtualization solutions will be showcased at Booth 342 at VMworld 2015, San Francisco, Aug. 31 – Sept. 3.

NCS products and solutions highlighted at VMworld include:

Cirrus LT Plus – The newest member of the Cirrus LT zero client laptop family has a generous 15.6 inch FHD display, full keyboard with numeric keypad, and a primary hot-swappable battery with an additional integrated second battery for more than eight hours of continuous power. Options include integrated smart card reader, proximity card reader, fingerprint reader, docking station, WiFi and 4G broadband.

Cirrus LT and LT Plus PCoIP zero client laptops are optimized for VMware Horizon View for a highly efficient IT administrative experience.

Cirrus DT WiFi – This new desktop zero client is ideal for healthcare applications and other implementations where virtual end points must be low cost yet portable and WiFi connectivity is preferred for superior manageability, security and productivity. Portable desktop zero clients have applications on medical carts, in aviation hangars, on factory floors and in remote workspaces. Cirrus DT WiFi is engineered for superior manageability and low total cost of ownership. This portable desktop device features three adjustable external antennas for superior roaming in difficult environments, such as hospital corridors. Unique firmware enables the control and management of the WiFi subsystem locally and remotely.

All Cirrus zero client desktops and laptops deliver superior computing security because they have no operating system, no local storage and don’t retain persistent user data. Antivirus protection is not necessary. Cirrus LT computers use the Teradici PCoIP® protocol to ensure superior performance. PCoIP compresses, encrypts and encodes the computing experience at the data center and transmits only pixels across the network to the end point. Users have secure, fully functional access to all applications.

NCS End-to-End VDI Solution – NCS VDI solution includes all three elements (storage, compute and network), software and services, and endpoints. NCS certified engineers configure the installation to each customer’s requirements. This solution includes both hyper-converged and modular implementations. Hardware elements include the NexServ XRG-5281 1U rackmount, the NexServ XRG-5262 x4 2U rackmount and the NexArray 2401 storage appliance.

The NCS solution relies on industry-leading software from VMware, Microsoft and Maxta to ensure reliability, availability and performance. NCS is a recognized integrator of hardware and software and delivers the latest VDI technologies in the most cost effective implementations.
