Furthermore, a DRS Supplier Quality representative emphasized the complexity of managing quality for Modified COTS (Commercial-Off-The-Shelf) products, the segment in which NCS specializes. They stated that NCS has “set the baseline & set the standard for Suppler Quality” and noted that the partnership with NCS has also helped DRS enhance their own processes, including the adoption of methodologies like DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
