HP Thin Clients

Secure, collaborative, and environmentally sound solution for the modern workforce.

The computing solution decisions organizations make can have significant impact on the environment. With most of us utilizing multiple computing devices daily, it easy to extrapolate the impact on metals, plastics, and energy needed to operate all our devices.

HP has made significant investments in their technology solutions to help individuals and organizations reduce their impacts on the environment. Their investments have occurred across the entire technology ecosystem, none more evident than in their Thin Client solution.  With lower power, less heat produced, and lower cooling cost your organization will realize a lower carbon footprint.

HP Thin Client environmental advantages over traditional desktop and laptop computers:

  1. Small form factor devices mean less materials required to manufacture devices.
  2. The latest generation processors consume significantly less power.
  3. Less internal computing components delivering the same high-end computing experience through a shared VDI computing infrastructure.
  4. HP’s Anyware (Teradici) solutions offer a highly secure end-user device since no data resides on the device.
  5. HP has incorporated a closed-loop and ocean-bound plastics program to recycle those materials into their new products.

HP Printers Make the Difference

HP printers offer the highest print quality for your organization, while having a positive impact on the environment.

With more than 300 HP products that utilize ocean-bound plastics and recycled materials, HP printer cartridges are one of the most important parts of the portfolio.

As a world-leader in the printing and imaging needs of individuals and corporations, HP has sold millions of printers – each relying on multiple ink/toner cartridges. With the potential of so much waste, HP undertook the challenge incorporating recycled materials into their products. The outcome has had a significant impact on the environment.

  • Since 2000, more than 10,202 metric tons of recycled plastics have been used to make new ink and toner cartridges.
  • HP has upcycled more than 5.5 billion plastic bottles into new HP Ink Cartridges.
  • HP has used more than 1,298 metric tons of UL-certified ocean- bound plastic. That’s the equivalent of 102 million plastic water bottles.
  • 127 million apparel hangers have been kept out of landfills.

HP’s Planet Partners recycling program combines cartridges returned by customers, post-consumer plastic bottles, and new plastics to deliver quality products that are making a positive impact on the environment.

Additionally, all HP branded paper is responsibly sourced (preferably FSC©-certified) and sustainably managed or derived from recycled sources.
